Bossiney 'Elephant Rock', Silver Pebble Pendant

Hidden away at the bottom of a steep cliff path is one of the most beautiful beaches – Bossiney Cove (Or in Cornish: Porth Boskyny).

Golden sands, clear blue waters, a water fall and caves tempt you to make the climb down*.  In addition to these natural beauties is the most amazing rock formation – the Bossiney Elephant.  Its trunk reaches down into the waves as it looks out across the ocean. 

In celebration of this natural beauty, I’ve made the Bossiney ‘Elephant Rock’ silver pebble.

Recycling my scrap silver, I melt it down to form a molten ball of silver.  Once cooled, the front ‘side’ is given a soft pebble matt finish with a hammered sparkly centre – just like when something sparkly catches your eye in a rock pool.  Hidden on the ‘back’ of the pebble is a little Bossiney elephant.

*Please note that Bossiney Cove footpath is, 'officially', currently closed due to a rock fall.  At low tide Bossiney Cove is accessible from neighbouring Benoath Cove beach.  Please stay safe at the beach and always check tide times.  (Info correct as of 2025).
