Ocean Blue Sea Glass & Apatite, Recycled Silver Asymmetrical Dangly Earrings

Sun sparkling off the deep ocean blue waters, as the warm summer breeze washes over you...

These earrings are just asking to be taken to a cool beach bar, where they sparkle in the sunlight, as you enjoy a refreshing cocktail/mocktail or two!

The deep blue sea glass are asymmetrical, as these have been purely shaped by the waves and are just as I found them on the beach.  I have paired them together not only for their colour but for their shape, giving the feel of the rolling waves.

The rose cut gemstone, Apatite, is a stunning vivid neon blue.

All the information:

Both the sea glass and Apatite are set in recycled fine silver & sterling silver and are hand filed, hand sanded and hand polished to a high shine.  They have a sterling silver ear hook, which gives the earrings a lovely movement.

The back of the earrings have a brushed silver, matt effect.

As the sea glass has been shaped by the waves, the two earrings are not identical in shape and size.  At their widest, the earrings measures approx. 13mm and 8mm.  The length of both is around 14mm.  The Apatite measures 5mm in diameter.  The length of the whole dangly earrings are approx 22mm.

Just like gemstones can have natural inclusions, sea glass that is shaped by the waves can have little rough, uneven worn edges or little chips missing. As long as there is no risk of damage to the wearer, I use the sea glass exactly as I found it on the beach.   Please visit my All out about sea glass section of FAQ for more information.

The Apatite also has natural occurring inclusions, which appear as dark lines.  Apatite is classed as a softer gemstone, compared to, for example diamonds, so some gentle care is required when wearing or storing your earrings.
