St Ives Green Sea Glass, Silver Heart Pendant

This little green sea glass heart has been shaped by the waves and found on the beach at St Ives.  Handmade into a recycled silver pendant, it has a heart shape cut out on the back, which lets the light shine through.

This piece of sea glass, found on my visit to St Ives, has been wonderfully shaped by the waves, into a little heart.  The unusual shade of olive green suggests it is quite aged and has been in the sea a very long time.

All the information:

The sea glass is set in recycled fine silver & sterling silver and is hand filed, hand sanded and hand polished to a high shine.  

The back of the pendant has a hand cut, heart shape which allows the light to shine through the sea glass.  The back of the silver has a brushed, matt effect.

The pendant at its widest measures approx. 11mm.  The length is around 12mm.  

The recycled sterling silver diamond cut (for extra shine) curb chain measures 18".

Just like gemstones can have natural inclusions, sea glass that is shaped by the waves can have little rough, uneven worn edges or little chips missing. As long as there is no risk of damage to the wearer, I use the sea glass exactly as I found it on the beach.   Please visit my All out about sea glass section of FAQ for more information.
